Maxine du Preez is a native of Makanda, formerly Grahamstown, in the Eastern Cape where she attended boarding school from grade 1. She embarked on a diverse journey that has uniquely positioned her for a successful career in real estate by starting with her BCOM LLB at the University of Stellenbosch, graduating in 1999. During a five-year tenure in London, she worked in finance and banking, returning to South Africa where she settled in Cape Town in 2005. Maxine completed her academic articles at UCT and her practical training at CK Friedlander and was admitted as an attorney and conveyancer in 2006. She then worked at Investec Bank in private banking and in particular in the property lending teams between 2006 and 2011.

In 2012 Maxine returned to full-time study to pursue her passion for property and interiors, completing a HCert in Interior Decorating with distinction, whereafter she started and ran her own interiors business for 10 years. Living in Rondebosch and specialising in the Rondebosch and Lynfrae, Claremont areas, Maxine is excited to continue her passion for property and with a strong foundation in creative design, she brings a unique flair by utilising the skills learnt from her years in banking and legal, together with her eye for beautiful design and visualisation.
