About Denise Dogon
Denise Dogon has been a successful property agent on the desired Atlantic Seaboard, Cape Town, South Africa, for more than 40 years. On passing her board exam in 1980 and CRS in 1988, Denise took the property market by storm, putting many well-known names on the map.
Denise started at Durr Estates in 1973. She opened up their first Atlantic Seaboard agency from scratch and within two years turned this branch into one of the top players in the area, buzzing with a pro-active staff of 12 and 2 offices.
Within the next 23 years, Denise turned Durr Estates on the Atlantic Seaboard into a household name. She was made a director on the board and a minority shareholder in 1986. With attention to service excellence and an intelligent approach, Denise consistently won awards for her area, which had become the most profitable for the group, as well as personally winning Agent of the year on numerous occasions. Due to her unstoppable enthusiasm and dynamism, Denise frequently was asked to give motivational speeches, and become well known for her statement: "If it is to be, it is up to me!"
In 1995, Pam Golding properties head-hunted Denise and persuaded her to open their International division in the exclusive Victoria & Alfred Waterfront location. With Denise's expertise and guidance, this venture was an international success from day one, offering clients expert knowledge in the property market as well as the unparalleled "Denise Dogon level of service".

She is highly regarded as one of the industry's most respected spokeswomen, with the press consistently quoting her on the state of the South African market. She has appeared on numerous television programs, including the CNN property section. DENISE GOES SOLO IN 2002 - LAUNCHES INNOVATIVE PROPERTY CAFÉ CONCEPT
Denise decided to start her own company because she wanted to offer a property company with a difference. “I travel a lot and saw that the top property companies in the UK and USA were branding themselves and marketing their properties very differently to how we were doing it in South Africa,” Dogon recalls. Denise recognised that a high profile location was required to correctly position her company. “A new building was being constructed adjacent to the Bay Hotel in Camps Bay. I contacted the owners and sold them my idea of a ‘property café which offered a sophisticated lounge area, plasma screens and Italian espresso, where buyers could relax in beautiful surroundings. Success came rapidly after Denise launched their first hi-tech property café in 2002. Famous for bringing a touch of style and sophistication to the industry, the concept took the industry to the cutting-edge of technology, simultaneously catapulting it into the media spotlight. A fleet of Mini Coopers in the company’s corporate colours was acquired and the cars branded with the company logo and name. With property prices along the sought-after Atlantic Seaboard rising and many of the upmarket homes that it had sold proving to be blue chip investments, Denise was well set for even greater success.
